QUALITY ASSURANCE

Measured. Inspected. Documented.

Quality is built into every stage of our manufacturing process — from engineering review and material verification to machining, fabrication, welding, inspection and final dispatch.

Quality Built Into Manufacturing

At Mapsons India Pvt. Ltd., quality is an integral part of the manufacturing process. We manufacture precision components, stainless-steel fittings, welded assemblies and process equipment according to customer drawings, specifications, BOMs and project requirements.

Our quality approach combines material verification, controlled manufacturing processes, dimensional inspection, welding quality, testing and technical documentation.

Our objective is simple: manufacture the right product, to the right specification, with the right documentation.

Our Quality Approach

Quality controls are applied throughout the manufacturing journey, from requirement review to final inspection and dispatch.

Engineering Review

Customer drawings, 3D models, BOMs and technical specifications are reviewed before manufacturing.

  • 2D drawings
  • 3D CAD models
  • BOM requirements
  • Dimensional tolerances
  • Surface-finish requirements

Material Verification

Material identification and traceability are maintained according to project requirements.

  • Material grade
  • Heat / batch traceability
  • Material certificates
  • PMI where required

In-Process Inspection

Critical characteristics are checked during machining, fabrication, welding and assembly.

  • Dimensions
  • Fit-up
  • Welding
  • Surface finish

Final Inspection

Before dispatch, finished products are checked against applicable drawings, specifications and inspection requirements.

  • Final dimensions
  • Material
  • Welding
  • Documentation

Precision Inspection

Machined components can be inspected against drawing requirements and specified tolerances.

  • CMM inspection
  • Dimensional inspection
  • Diameter & bore checks
  • Surface roughness

Welding Quality

Stainless-steel welded assemblies are manufactured using controlled welding processes according to project requirements.

  • TIG welding
  • Orbital welding
  • Visual inspection
  • NDT where specified

Inspection & Testing

Inspection methods are selected according to the product, drawing, customer specification and applicable project requirements.

Quality Documentation

Depending on customer and project requirements, Mapsons can provide appropriate quality and inspection documentation.

Documentation requirements can be agreed during the quotation and engineering review stage.

  • Material Test Certificates
  • EN 10204 3.1 where applicable
  • Dimensional Inspection Reports
  • PMI Reports
  • Surface Roughness Reports
  • Hardness Reports
  • NDT Reports where applicable
  • Welding Documentation
  • Final Inspection Reports
  • Traceability Records

Welding Quality

Welding plays an important role in stainless-steel tanks, vessels, process equipment and welded assemblies.

Mapsons supports TIG and orbital welding applications according to customer and project requirements.

Depending on the project, welding quality controls may include welding procedure requirements, welder qualifications, visual inspection and applicable non-destructive testing.

PED & Pressure Equipment

For applicable pressure-equipment projects, quality control can cover material verification, fabrication, welding, inspection, testing and technical documentation.

Typical equipment may include pressure vessels, process vessels, reactors, filter housings and other custom stainless-steel pressure equipment.

PED applicability and conformity requirements are determined according to the specific equipment, operating parameters, classification and applicable regulations.
